Polar Flow: export a session as GPX, TCX, CSV or FIT
Polar Flow exports any session from the website: Diary, open the session, the Export menu top right, choose GPX, TCX, CSV or FIT. The route is in GPX and FIT; heart rate, calories and cadence in TCX. From Polar's own support page.
Polar Flow has one of the cleanest exports of any platform, and Polar's own support page describes it in two lines. It is on the website.
Where it is
Sign in at flow.polar.com → Diary → click the session to open it → the Export drop-down at the top right of the page. Choose GPX, TCX, CSV or FIT. For a big file Polar offers a zipped download; unzip it before uploading anywhere.
Which file
Polar's page is specific about what goes where:
- GPX and FIT carry the route.
- TCX carries the other training data — heart rate, calories, cadence.
- Multisport sessions export as GPX, FIT or TCX.
For a print, FIT is the one: route plus the session's numbers. For a map tool, GPX. GPX, FIT or TCX if you want the general picture.
The app
The Polar Flow app shows the session; the export lives on the web service. On a phone, open flow.polar.com in the browser.
Polar to Strava
Connect the accounts in Flow's settings and new sessions sync. For the history, export and upload — how.
Then what
Any GPX, FIT or TCX opens in the viewer to check it, uploads to Strava (how), and goes into the editor to become a print of the route with the numbers from the file. The other watches and apps are in the device guides.
