What it does

Pick a place, a shape and how far you want to go. The generator reads the street network around that spot and looks for a loop through real roads that draws the shape — then hands you a GPX file or a Garmin course to follow.

Not a line drawn on top of a map. A route along streets that exist, which is the only kind you can actually ride.

Simple shapes, to start with

Square, triangle, circle, heart and house. They are geometric on purpose: a shape with few, clear corners is one a street grid can actually carry. Surprise me runs all of them and tells you which one your neighbourhood draws best.

The match percentage is honest. A medieval town centre will not give you a crisp square, and the tool says so rather than handing you a blob.

What it does not do

It does not put the drawing on your Strava profile. Nothing can: Strava art is a recording, so the shape appears once you have been there. The generator's job ends at a file your watch can follow.

Why the route cannot be printed

The streets come from OpenStreetMap, and a route traced out of OpenStreetMap carries its licence onto anything printed from it. Your recording does not — it is your own measurement, made by your own watch. So the poster is made from the ride, not from the plan. Ride it, then bring the file back.
